Chai means tea. Masala chai is spiced tea. Our western perception of chai tea (translating to tea tea) is a spiced black tea originating from India. The traditional method of preparing masala chai involves a bit more work, infusing spices with 50% water and 50% milk, bringing to a boil and adding black tea for the last 5-10 minutes. There is no specific method or blend, each person will have a slightly different method of preparing masala chai. Our Abdha Chai is designed to work perfectly as a traditional chai, but also chai latte or just a regular cuppa.
